Mercy Romil: Hi lo I'm not very well equipped with the talent of writing to even create a blog. Maybe that's why I named this Navigating Semantics or maybe I liked the way those two words fit together. Navigating Semantics can mean getting through anything, finding meaning. For me it's trying to wade or claw my way through my twenties; some days I feel successful and others not so much. I'm sure many of you can relate when it comes to not having your shit together. Circumstances have led to me not even completing my degree; it's very much an open wound that is still festering. Being an only child, as well as first generation immigrant daughter, who's parents continue to work SO hard; it is devastating to not even have an official qualification to make them proud. It's certainly a tough pill to swallow and not to sound too morbid but I also considered that option too. However. yes, there is a however. Surely feeling this way cannot last forever? Surely there is more to life than this? I am my own therapist because apart from this page and potential strangers reading this, I don't think I'll ever tell my loved ones. So here I am taking the easy route. So here I am navigating semantics.
