Learning how to index my blog for Google

This took a hot minute. I realised my blog was not appearing on google search results, no matter how hard I searched (typing in whole paragraphs at this rate into the engine). 

I was led to the google search console to try and index my site and verify it. 

Lets hope this works, pray for me.

Ok, update; no matter how much I read up on this, my brain was just not processing new information. I learnt new meanings to words such as 'crawling' and 'sitemap'. We will see how well the information is retained in my brain. A good sleep and coffee has refreshed my mind, here I sit on my uncomfortable dining chair, attempting to do this once more. I pride myself that I'm a patient person, however the last time I fully involved myself in anything computer/coding related was year 8 and that was to make a decent video game. I can't take all the credit, my genius partner completed all the work, embellishing this to fit a standard I had no hopes in achieving. 

I posted a query on the Google help page and a good Samaritan answered within 12 hours. I was led to my enemy for the weekend; the Google Search Console. I'm 98% sure I did the same actions as yesterday, nevertheless, whatever keys I pressed today, yielded promising results. I requested for my site to be indexed (which may take several weeks rip), site mapping also looks interesting enough for me to learn more about. *Sigh* looks like this Sunday will be slow going, until next time my friends.
